I don't have a Security Guard License, how can I get one?

Do I really need a Security Guard License to apply for a position?

Yes, under the law you cannot be hired or work as a Security Guard without a current and valid license.

I applied with your company, passed your test but you didn’t have anything available at the time; how long will you keep my application active?

All applications for Security Guard positions are kept in our system for up to 6 months.

Do you offer Security Guard training to the public?

Magnum Protective Services offers Security Guard training for those seeking to obtain their Ontario Security Guard License, as well as Health & Safety training for those who already hold a valid Security Guard License. Do you do investigations or alarms?

No on both items. We are licensed to provide Security Guards services and do not provide investigation services or alarm services.

I have a Security Guard License from another province, can I use it to get a job with you?

No, you will need to obtain an Ontario Security Guard License in order to apply for a job with us.

I am new to Canada and have no security experience, will you hire me?

We will consider all applicants who have a current, valid Ontario Security License, are authorized to legally work in Canada, are fluent in English and are in good general health.

How do I get started working as a Security Guard?
